Mission Statement

Stepping Stone Living Ltd provides Supported Living Accommodation and Domiciliary Care Services for adults with learning disabilities.

Our Supported Living Services

Stepping Stone Living is committed in developing and maintaining a high standard of care and support which is tailored to meet the needs of people with a learning disability. We enable people to live within their own accommodation and to lead a lifestyle of their choosing.

The tenant’s interests are at the forefront of our Service and we ensure that they are involved in day-to-day running of their home. Tenant's are encouraged to give their views and where a person is unable to communicate their needs, carers, relatives, keyworker or advocate will be involved to ensure that their needs are being met.

Each Tenant will have a support plan and activity programme which is supported by their keyworker and staff team.

Our Domiciliary Care Services

Stepping Stone is committed in providing high standard of Domiciliary  care support to meet the needs of adults with Learning Disability within their own home.

News

STep-In our community Cafe is open to people with Learning disabilities.

The ‘STep-In Café’ focuses on creating work opportunities for people with learning disabilities inspired by the Valuing People Now – Employment principle of ‘’Supported Employment’.

The project is supported by Steppingstone Independent Living Ltd who provide Care and Support to people with Learning Disabilities in and around Bucks.

At STep-In Café we work with our clients to develop a pathway that will enable them to have more access to the world of work. Part of our objective is to encourage people with a Learning Disability to work in a creative, stimulating and social environment and at the same time create a place where they are valued, appreciated and included.

The Café aims to achieve its individual and community objectives by involving our own staff, volunteers and students.

The STep-In Café gives people the opportunity to gain working skills and, most importantly, interact with other people in a typical day-to-day situation. We will also provide IT classes and various group activities.

A referral is needed to access the Service. You can ask your Care Manager or Reviewing Officer for a referral. After a referral is received we contact you to arrange a ‘taster day’ to see if the café is suitable. A six week trial will then follow when we offer you a placement.

If you have a learning disability or you are a relative or carer and would like more information about working in the café please contact us for more information on 01494 459873.
